Actor Neal McDonough, known for playing villains in hit films, is launching his own motion pictures production company to create faith-based movies that align with his Christian values. According to The Christian Post, McDonough wants to encourage people to make the world better by creating entertainment that sends a positive message.

A devout Catholic, McDonough has been standing up for his values, even losing roles due to them, since the start of his career. One such example is that he refuses to act in any kissing scenes, saying that his kisses are only meant for his wife. To include a wider audience for his films, McDonough explained that the pictures will not always be, “overtly faith-based,” but will be “faith-friendly.”

McDonough shared that he and his wife “are so blessed to have companies that support us and back us and want to make more films and TV shows, or reality shows or any kind of show that gives glory to Him…Not just to make a movie, but to do a movie that actually gives Him glory — that’s our goal,” adding that they are very fortunate to be able to do so.

McDonough is also the host of the upcoming special ‘Christmas with the Tabernacle Choir’ which he says honors both his faith and “Irish flair.” The choir will perform several classic Christmas songs.

Launching his faith-friendly production company, McDonough hopes to make an impact with a positive influence in the entertainment industry. Creating films that appeal to both Christians and non-Christians will widen the audience that the McDonough Company will reach with their essential message that “glorifies God” and promotes good values.
