Actress Patricia Heaton, known for her role on the hit sitcom, ‘Everybody Loves Raymond,’ recently shared and celebrated that she has finished reading the entire Bible for the first time. According to the Christian Post, Heaton described finishing the Bible as “revelatory” and recommends her followers to set time aside each day to read the Bible and pray.
Encouraging her followers to read the Bible each day, and spend time with God, Heaton shared that if she missed a day, or days, she would catch up to stay on course. Heaton explained that she was reading the Bible actively, noting all of the names of God including “Provider, Healer, Righteousness, Sovereign, the Most High, Good Shepherd, Prince of Peace, [and] Lion of Judah.”
This is not the first time Heaton has shared her faith publicly. She recently wrote a book titled, Your Second Act, in which she “encourages readers to live life to the fullest regardless of their age.” Heaton is also a longtime ambassador of the Christian charity, World Vision, which provides humanitarian aid in almost 100 countries.
Last year, Heaton, who is outspoken about her faith, told the Christian Post, “There’s a saying, ‘Jesus died for us publicly. So don’t live for Him privately.” Thus, Heaton is sharing her faithful journey with fans who she likely hopes will find a path of their own to pursue their faith and strengthen their relationship with God. Using her influence as a well-known and award-winning actress to spread the message of God’s love, Heaton has not only brought comedy to her fans, but is giving them a life full of hope and faith.
