Country music star Carrie Underwood is giving back to U.S. military veterans by donating $1 of each ticket sold for her upcoming Denim & Rhinestones Tour to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, according to Southern Living. Tunnel to Towers shared their appreciation for Underwood’s generosity on Twitter, writing a big thank you for the star’s help in allowing them to continue their good work.

The Tunnel to Towers Foundation was founded in honor of the sacrifice of firefighter Stephen Siller who gave his life to save others on September 11, 2001, and also honors our military and first responders. As part of their program, Tunnel to Towers builds mortgage-free custom-designed Smart Homes for “our most catastrophically injured veterans and first responders.” They also have been providing homes for fallen first responders since September 11, and Gold Star families since 2018. Tunnel to Towers is also committed to “eradicating veteran homelessness and aiding the victims of major U.S. disasters.”
