WWE superstar and actor John Cena has set a Guinness World Record for granting the most wishes through the Make-A-Wish Foundation, according to People. Cena, who is the most requested celebrity, has granted the wishes of 650 kids, bringing them joy and happiness as he makes their dreams come true.

Reflecting on his Make-A-Wish efforts, Cena shared on The Drew Barrymore Show, that he is honored to be chosen by so many kids for their wish. Cena said, “It means a lot of things. It means one, something I am passionate about affects people. It means two, I can be a vehicle to help make a wish come true…And it means three, when we engage, when the wish actually happens, it is something that someone wants and we are the finish line.”

The Make-A-Wish Foundation is an organization that makes dreams come true for children with critical illnesses. According to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, the idea behind granting wishes is to help children “believe that anything is possible,” giving them strength to “fight harder against their illnesses.” Cena first collaborated with the Make-A-Wish Foundation in 2002, and in 2012, he granted the foundation’s 1,000th wish. According to People, “as reported by Guinness, Cena is the most requested celebrity for wishes. In the 42 years since the foundation began, no other figure has granted more than 200 wishes.”

Granting the wishes of critically ill children, John Cena has grown into an even bigger superstar for children and families. With his enormous heart and the love he gives to these children, Cena is not only making dreams come true, but giving children and their families tremendous hope and strength as they continue their fight. Sure to make even more wishes come true, Cena is a celebrity role model who not only understands what it means to give back, but sets the example for it.
