Kirk Cameron’s new hit film ‘Lifemark’ is already changing and saving lives with its emotional and uplifting story of adoption. According to an interview with Cameron on Faithwire, filmmakers Alex and Stephen Kendrick, who worked with Cameron on the production, shared the story of a girl who used a car service to take her to an abortion clinic, and at the request of the driver watched ‘Lifemark’. As far as Cameron knows, the film changed the woman’s mind and saved her baby’s life.
According to Faithwire, Cameron “said he’s elated to hear stories of ‘Lifemark’ being used as a ministry tool, with Christians and pro-life activists using the film to change hearts and minds about adoption and abortion.” He also shared that he is thankful to see that “our culture” is moving towards valuing and defending life. Cameron, who is a leading figure of the pro-life movement, has shared many inspiring and encouraging words to audiences including those who attended the March For Life where he shared a personal story about his wife who is adopted.
The film is getting even more attention as its release followed the Supreme Court decision that overturned Roe v. Wade. The synopsis of ‘Lifemark’ states: “David’s comfortable world is turned upside down when his birthmother unexpectedly reaches out to him, longing to meet the 18-year-old son she’s only held once. With the encouragement of his adoptive parents, David embarks on a journey of discovery that leads to a staggering truth from his past.”
Reaching into the hearts of those who are searching for or finding faith, ‘Lifemark’ is changing lives as it teaches its audience about God’s love. As more people take to heart the message of the film, it will undoubtedly continue making an impact on all of its viewers that in some cases can save lives.
