Newt Gingrich Predicts Trump Will Be 2024 Presidential Candidate Unless Someone Breaks Through

Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich joined Ainsley Earhardt on FOX and Friends Tuesday morning to discuss the 2024 Republican presidential candidates, and preview his new book ‘March to the Majority.’

As the GOP field grows, Gingrich shared that he predicts Donald Trump will win the candidacy unless somebody breaks through.

“It’s like there are two lakes. There’s a huge Trump lake, and there’s a smaller not-Trump lake. And every time a new candidate comes in, the smaller not-Trump lakes gets bigger in terms of candidates, but not votes,” said Gingrich, adding that “somebody’s going to have to figure out how to take Trump head-on.”

DeSantis had a chance of breaking out, but Gingrich believes his campaign has not made the headway necessary to take on Trump as more candidates continue announcing their run. Gingrich predicts there may be 10-15 candidates in the race. With more and more candidates entering the race, Gingrich suggested that Trump may welcome it as the candidates will take on each other.

Gingrich’s new book ‘March to the Majority’ addresses how the GOP spent 16 years creating a majority for the first time in 40 years, including the four years with Democrat President Bill Clinton during which he signed a series of conservative proposals after successful negotiations. Gingrich explained that his book is like a “playbook” that discusses what actually works for people who really want to change the country.
