Republican leaders are outraged over the Biden administration’s latest “weaponization” of government as former President Donald Trump revealed that he is being indicted by the Justice Department over the handling of White House documents, according to Breitbart. Slamming the Biden family as the real criminals, Republican leaders were quick to point out the corruption of justice, noting there is a two-tiered criminal justice system.
“The exact same day that the FBI is forced to turn over to Congress absolutely damning and credible allegations regarding Joe Biden’s illegal, egregious, and treasonous corruption, Joe Biden weaponizes his Department of Justice to indict Donald Trump,” said Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-NY), warning Americans of the unprecedented actions undermining our republic. Rep. Harriet Hageman (R-WY) also alerted Americans to Biden’s abuse of power, tweeting, “In Joe Biden’s America, the federal government is mobilized against political enemies in an unprecedented abuse of prosecutorial power.”
Trump himself sounded the alarm, though it’s being conveniently ignored, that Joe Biden has White House documents in multiple locations. In his post on Truth Social, Trump wrote, “The corrupt Biden Administration has informed my attorneys that I have been Indicted, seemingly over the Boxes Hoax, even though Joe Biden has 1850 Boxes at the University of Delaware, additional Boxes in Chinatown, D.C., with even more Boxes at the University of Pennsylvania.”
Republicans were also quick to point out the Biden administration’s attempt to meddle with the 2024 election, asserting that Biden’s only chance of winning against Trump rests on making Trump look like a criminal. Donald Trump Jr. tweeted, “Biden’s corrupt DOJ is openly interfering in the 2024 presidential election to stop Trump because they know Biden can’t beat him in a fair race. That’s what this is really all about and everyone knows it.”
As the 2024 presidential election draws closer, the Biden administration is appearing more and more desperate to try to secure a win, no matter the cost. The outrage expressed by Republican leaders is not necessarily in defense of President Trump himself, but the defense of the foundation on which America was built. With the cornerstones of our republic being chipped away by those hungry for absolute power, Republicans have asserted that these are dire times for the nation that is barely holding on to its light as a beacon of freedom.
