Pro-lifers are preparing to participate in what will be the 50th annual March For Life event in Washington, D.C. which will be taking place on Friday. According to Faithwire, this year’s theme is “Marching Into a Post-Roe America.” Since the Supreme Court’s ruling in Dobbs v. Jackson, which overturned the ruling of Roe v. Wade, the issue of abortion has moved to the states, and pro-lifers are motivated to continue making strides after achieving this great milestone.

In its 50th year, March For Life is taking a new approach to the event which previously protested the 1973 ruling in Roe v. Wade that legalized abortion across the United States. Now, with Roe v. Wade overturned, marchers are celebrating this year, but know they still have more work ahead of them. March For Life released a statement saying, “We plan to celebrate, give thanks, and remember those who have gone before us who led the way to this historic moment in time, and to map out a path forward!”

The president of March For Life, Jeanne Mancini, shared that the movement has been growing stronger over the years and is even including more young people. She explained that those in the pro-choice movement underestimated the impact March For Life can make on people across America. With each march, pro-life citizens show America the sanctity of life and its value, and teach them that everyone has a right to life.

What started out as a one or two time event, has turned into an entire movement inspiring so many people and turning them towards God. As the March For Life continues to grow, its message will grow too and reach the hearts of people across America who need to hear that life at all stages is sacred, and know that there is so much support for them and their families.
