Former NFL quarterback and inspirational icon Tim Tebow has recently shared an encouraging message to his followers via his foundation’s Instagram account. Sharing the message that “you can’t see the full picture, but God can,” Tim Tebow spread hope to his followers who may feel discouraged in life by telling them the story of Joseph, and sharing his own personal reflection.
Tebow said, “I’m reminded of Joseph’s story. When he’s 17 years old, he’s betrayed by his brothers and sold into slavery, and Joseph has to have these thoughts of ‘God, what are you doing?’ But over, and over, and over again, in Joseph’s story, there is a theme: He trusts God.” Tebow continued, “God knew what his story was going to be. Joseph didn’t. God knew 13 years later, he was going to be second in command of Egypt. Joseph didn’t.”
The message of the story Tebow shared is that although we may not be able to see the full picture right now, God can. The message is to keep going forward and be optimistic that the future holds a great promise in the hands of God. While it is easy to be discouraged and give up, Tebow suggests that doing so would not be fulfilling the role God meant for each of us to have in life.
Relating to those who are going through difficult or doubtful times, Tebow said that he hopes that if he were to ever go through such trying times that he would “be willing to trust God.” Tebow suggests that trusting God gives us strength through the hope, love, and faith that we get through believing in God.
Tebow is the founder of the Tim Tebow Foundation which aims “to bring faith, hope, and love to those needing a brighter day in their darkest hour of need.” Tebow’s foundation has helped change millions of lives as their expansive outreach surrounds those in need with inspiring and encouraging experiences.
