The K-LOVE Fan Awards held Sunday at the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville, Tennessee honored the year’s most inspirational artists and leaders. Taking home the top awards were Christian artists including For King & Country, Matthew West, and Anne Wilson. According to The Christian Post, the winners thanked God for their success and are humbled by the many people who look to them for faithful inspiration and motivation in their lives.
Taking home the award for Worship Song of the Year for “In Jesus Name (God Of Possible),” artist Katy Nichole told The Christian Post that the experience is “unbelievable,” reflecting on how far she has come in a year. Humbly discussing her success, Nichole cited Ephesians 3:20 “Now unto Him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us.” She added that she wishes to continue providing “hope and encouragement through her music,” guiding her audience to God.
Among the artists recognized at the awards was Sadie Robertson Huff who won in the new category of “Podcast of the Year” for her podcast “Whoa That’s Good.” The Duck Dynasty alum shared with The Christian Post that she “never pictured herself” having an award nomination, but sees it as an “incredible honor” from her fans. She believes her podcast is successful because it gives people at all points in their lives a mentor and good advice, which she says is hard to find nowadays.
Highlighting the incredible work of these artists who have inspired many to seek God and grow in their faith, the K-LOVE Fan Awards brings to light the positivity and encouragement that comes from Christian music and artists. Sustaining a platform that helps people find an avenue to build their relationship with God through someone’s inspirational words helps to strengthen themselves and their faith. Moving forward, Christian artists are looking towards creating even more powerful and inspirational material to encourage their fans and motivate them to deepen their faith and relationship with God.
