Chicago Crime Victim Warns Nothing Will Change Until They Get New Leadership

Chicago crime victim Diana Dejacimo, who was robbed at gunpoint in broad daylight in December, joined Ainsley Earhardt on FOX and Friends Tuesday morning to discuss what needs to change in response to the escalating crime.

In December, Dejacimo gave her purse to the robber who threatened to kill her and her dog. The robber also stole her car from around the corner, though it was later found.

While Mayor Lori Lightfoot is dancing in the streets, crime is surging. Dejacimo called out Chicago’s leadership for the harrowing conditions, noting that they have “a complete breakdown of any kind of structure in terms of punishment [and] enforcing any kind of laws.”

“The leadership is completely out of touch,” said Dejacimo, adding that “we have a mayor and state attorney who do not believe in prosecuting anything [and] don’t support the police.”

Dejacimo is certain that until there is new leadership, nothing will change in Chicago.
