Wednesday morning on FOX and Friends, Ainsley Earhardt interviewed OutKick founder Clay Travis to discuss changes on Twitter since Elon Musk’s takeover as well as the possibility and consequences of the cancellation of student loan debt.
Travis, who has seen a surge in followers on his Twitter account like other conservatives, shared that there are many different theories that could explain this change. One, he suggests, is that more conservatives have joined the platform since Elon Musk bought Twitter. Travis also points out that left wingers have lost followers which he suggests could be because Twitter has pulled back some of their “guardrails” that were “rigged in favor of left wingers” as they are worried that Elon Musk may expose the data manipulation that has been going on behind the scenes.
Regarding the cancellation of student loan debt, Travis explained that it would not really be “canceled” since the $1.6 trillion payments would just be paid by everyone else who had nothing to do with taking out the student loans. Though President Biden is championing this talking point, Travis suggested that adding individual student loan debt to the national debt would likely be deemed unconstitutional.
