Daughter of Fallen NYPD Officer Asks for Help in Fight for Mother’s Pension

Wednesday morning on FOX and Friends, Ainsley Earhardt interviewed Genesis Villella, the daughter of a fallen New York City Police Department officer who was tragically killed in an ambush while sitting in her patrol car in the Bronx nearly five years ago.

Genesis explained that she has been taking care of her two younger siblings since her mother was killed in 2017, and had to drop out of school at 20 years old to do so. She has been stuck in a five year battle over her mother’s pension which would help her family’s financial needs. Genesis explained that the situation of having a fallen officer who was a single mother with three children with the eldest child now stepping in as the role of parent has never been a case before.

Genesis asked for people to reach out to New York State Senators and the New York State Assembly to make any changes necessary so that she will be able to financially support her younger siblings with her mother’s pension, just as a spouse or parent would be able to do in these circumstances.
