Thursday morning on FOX and Friends, Ainsley Earhardt interviewed Fox News contributor Douglas Murray to discuss a member of China’s state-controlled media threatening Elon Musk on Twitter because of a tweet he posted of a poll proposing that Ukraine give up Crimea to Russia as well as redoing the elections in the annexed regions under UN supervision. The member of China’s media wrote “Elon Musk has released his personality too much, and he believes too much in the US and West’s ‘freedom of speech,’” adding that, “He will be taught a lesson.”
Murray explained that China inserts itself into these issues all the time, noting that they are the only competitor of the United States in the 21st Century. Murray suggested that the message to Musk was that all the talk about freedom is just “hot air.” Murray also pointed out that China does not believe in any freedom, noting that they are operating concentration camps as we speak.
