Dr. Nesheiwat Praises Blood Test That Can Detect Early Stages of Breast Cancer

Fox News medical contributor Dr. Janette Nesheiwat joined Ainsley Earhardt on FOX and Friends Monday morning to discuss the blood test called Trucheck which highlights cancer cells that are circulating in the body. The test has been found to correctly identify 92% of breast cancers.

Nesheiwat explained that it is important for patients to speak with their doctors to learn about which test is right for them, noting that there are many different types of tests for breast cancer. While the Trucheck blood test may not replace mammograms at this point, Nesheiwat shared that it is “incredible technology” that will save lives as it detects the tiniest early signs of breast cancer. Nesheiwat added that with early detection of a cancer, it means early intervention and usually a better prognosis and better survival rate down the road.
