Monday morning on FOX and Friends, Ainsley Earhardt interviewed Fox News medical contributor Dr. Nicole Saphier to discuss the mask mandates for young children as New York City parents expressed their frustration with Mayor Eric Adams who went back on his word to unmask two to four year olds.
Dr. Saphier explained that the mask mandate for young children must be lifted especially since it has shown no significant effect reducing transmission and has only impaired their learning. Noting the progress made with vaccines, boosters, and high quality masks for at-risk populations, Dr. Saphier asserted that masking these children is not necessary. She also gave a warning that vulnerable populations may ignore health authorities as they continue to make these decisions that do not “follow the science.”
