Female Construction Worker Encourages Women to Enter the Industry

Heavy equipment operator apprentice Ashley Lair joined FOX and Friends Friday morning to share her story earning double what she was making by entering the infrastructure industry.

Lair explained that one year ago she was a bartender, and decided to work for a construction company which has doubled her income. The labor shortage has left more than 500,000 construction job vacancies in 2023, and Lair says women should take advantage of this opportunity.

Although women are outnumbered in this industry, says Lair, they stick together and noted that anything anyone else does they can do it too.
