Friday morning on FOX and Friends, Ainsley Earhardt interviewed Polk County, Florida Sheriff Grady Judd to discuss the looting that is taking place in hard-hit areas of Florida after Hurricane Ian.
Judd asserted that “people have a right to be safe in their homes,” adding that “they have a right for their property to be safe even when part of their home may be torn away.” Calling the acts of looting “unacceptable,” Judd suggested that any looter breaking into a property should expect to be met with resistance as many homeowners are armed and able to defend themselves and their property.
With law enforcement “stretched thin” at the moment due to the high demands, Judd shared that communities are coming together to help keep people and their properties safe and secure.
