Wednesday morning on FOX and Friends, Tunnel to Towers CEO Frank Siller and Marine Corps veteran Marquis Palmer joined Steve Doocy to discuss their commitment to helping homeless veterans get off the street and into their own homes.
Palmer, who was a homeless veteran himself, knows just how crucial the goal of helping all homeless veterans is, noting that taking the oath to defend our country “is bigger than anything that anyone could think of,” and when veterans return home, there are a lot of barriers they face that many people may not recognize. Palmer shared that if a pathway to housing can be provided, it can help veterans focus on healing other wounds such as PTSD, military trauma, or other social issues. Palmer expressed his appreciation to FOX and Friends and Tunnel to Towers for bringing awareness to the issue.
Siller’s nonprofit Tunnel to Towers remains dedicated to their mission of ensuring every veteran has a home. He shared that on the Fourth of July, Tunnel to Towers gave out 22 houses to families of fallen first responders, and 21 houses to Gold Star families on Memorial Day.
