Maskless New York Students Left Outside School Building For Hours

Wednesday morning on FOX and Friends, Ainsley Earhardt interviewed Isabella Bonati, a student from Manhasset Secondary School in New York, who was not allowed to enter the school building without wearing a mask on Tuesday morning. Appearing with her mother Tina, they both explained how the situation unfolded.

With a New York Supreme Court judge overturning the governor’s indoor mask mandate on Monday, students showed up to school on Tuesday morning without wearing masks. Isabella explained that a security guard approached her demanding her to take a mask to wear or leave the building. Isabella joined others outside of the school in the same situation. Waiting hours for administrators to approach them outside, the administration agreed to allow students back into the building, but only in the library where they would be segregated and attend classes via Zoom.

An appellate court granted a stay Tuesday afternoon meaning that students will still have to wear a mask during the appeals process. Isabella shared that she will follow constitutional rulings as they progress.
