Wednesday morning on FOX and Friends, Ainsley Earhardt interviewed Mike Huckabee to discuss his reaction to his daughter Sarah Huckabee Sanders’ historic win as the first female governor of Arkansas.
Huckabee shared that he could not be more excited for Sarah who has worked very hard and will bring “fresh ideas” and “the heart of a mom” to the governorship in Arkansas. In response to Ainsley’s inquiry about his advice to Sarah as a former governor of Arkansas himself, Huckabee shared, “be true to the state of Arkansas, love the people, serve them regardless of whether they voted for [you], prove that [you’re] the governor for everybody, and make the decisions you think are right and that help the most people, especially the ones who can’t pay you back, who have nothing to give you, make sure you never forget them.”
