Wednesday morning on FOX and Friends, Ainsley Earhardt interviewed Attorney Michael Chessa, New York State Senate candidate Danyela Souza Egorov, and New York father Peter Flintoft to discuss the lawsuit by New York City parents to end mask mandates for children.
Chessa explained that they are waiting for a decision from the appellate court on the stay New York City has asked for. If the court decides in the favor of New York City parents, Chessa explained that the lower court’s decision will stand and the toddler mask mandate will be void.
Egorov described the negative effects mask mandates have had on young children, especially concerning their cognitive growth. Suggesting that we are seeing a literacy crisis, Egorov explained that children need to see their teacher’s faces as they learn literacy, and the number of children with delays is alarming. Additionally, children are also not learning emotional and behavioral skills since not being able to see their teachers or their peers’ faces behind the masks.
