Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-N.Y.) joined FOX and Friends Friday morning to discuss her reaction to the FBI’s raid on Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home as well as the Democrats’ “Inflation Reduction Act” that she argues does nothing to reduce inflation.
Stefanik slammed the DOJ and the FBI for the politicization of their institutions, noting that they are doing nothing more than targeting Joe Biden’s most likely presidential opponent in 2024. Stefanik warned that this drastic overreach of government is “unAmerican” and should deeply concern everyone.
Regarding the “Inflation Reduction Act,” Stefanik argued that it should be called the “Inflation Expansion Act” as it will only increase costs for the American people. Stefanik added that she finds the most concerning part of the Act to be the increase in IRS agents that would make the IRS larger than the staffs of the Pentagon, the FBI, border patrol and state department combined. This is “bloated government at its worst,” said Stefanik, who is very concerned about the direction the country is going, but is confident that Democrats will be held accountable in November.
