Ainsley Earhardt interviewed Monroe County, Florida Sheriff Rick Ramsay on FOX and Friends Wednesday morning to discuss the “mass migration crisis” facing the Florida Keys.
Ramsay explained that they have been dealing with an influx of migration for a period of time and in the last few days they have seen a record number of landings. Ramsay shared that border patrol is overwhelmed and he is having to pull all resources he can all day long to respond to the landings.
Ramsay explained that this is a humanitarian crisis as well, noting that women and children are having to sit on the side of the road waiting to be picked up. Ramsay said there needs to be an action plan in place, which he called for a while ago when he first noticed a problem, to resolve the crisis and keep everyone safe.
