Small Business Owner Asks for Patience as Labor Shortage Limits Summer Hours

Tuesday morning on FOX and Friends, Steve Doocey interviewed the owner of Polar Cave Ice Cream Parlour in Massachusetts, Mike Lawrence, to discuss how his small business along with others around the country are struggling with labor shortages.

Lawrence shared that right now he has five employees in his ice cream shop, but they should have at least 10-12 by now and closer to 20 when school lets out for summer. Lawrence explained that he used to be able to open his shop for seven days a week, but could only be open for four days a week due to low staff. After hiring two employees over the weekend, Lawrence shared that he can now open five days a week but still has limited hours and is nowhere near having full coverage.
