Monday morning on FOX and Friends, Ainsley Earhardt interviewed Ukrainian chef Ievgen Klopotenko who turned his restaurant in Kyiv into a bomb shelter and is serving food to civilian soldiers serving in the war. The winner of MasterChef Ukraine, Klopotenko is doing what he does best to serve his country amid Russia’s violent invasion.
Klopotenko shared that he wants to help the Ukrainian soldiers who are fighting the war by serving them food. Strongly supporting the fight against Russia, Klopotenko explained that he wants “Ukraine to be Ukraine,” not become Russia. With his restaurant located where Kyiv was established, Klopotenko recognized that the building should be the shelter for all the Ukrainians trying to save Ukraine.
Regarding the supply of food, Klopotenko explained that he has enough food for now, but is uncertain of what he will have next week.
