Veteran Reflects on Help She Received From Wounded Warrior Project

Wounded Warrior Project CEO Lt. Gen. Mike Linnington and Danielle Green, who lost an arm while serving in Iraq, joined FOX and Friends Monday morning to highlight the services of the Wounded Warrior Project as part of FOX and Friends’ “12 Days of Giving.”

Green shared her experience losing her arm and explained that she was first introduced to Wounded Warrior Project while being cared for at Walter Reed Medical Center.

Linnington explained that 46 to 50 people a day are signing up for programs and services with the Wounded Warrior Project, noting that people may be under the impression that if there is not a “hot war,” there are no more needs, but that is not the case. Linnington shared that Wounded Warrior Project helps veterans get the assistance they need in a community that supports and understands them.

Speaking of Green, Linnington said she is a role model of resilience for other veterans, and hopes that in sharing her story, others will realize that help is out there.
