Winsome Sears Reacts to Outrage Over VA School Delaying Notification of Merit Awards

Virginia Lt. Gov. Winsome Sears joined Ainsley Earhardt on FOX and Friends Tuesday morning to discuss the decision by Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology to allegedly delay notifying students of merit awards.

Parents are arguing that award recipients were notified too late and their children were unable to list the achievement on their college applications. A mother of a student who was notified of his achievement in November claims that an administrator shared with her that the school intentionally mailed out the notifications late in order to not hurt the feelings of students who were not getting the awards.
